Aishwarya Agarwal (AIR 1560) studied at SD in 3-year classroom program (2016) in Engineering Batch. She completed her BTech in Electrical Engineering at IIT Bombay. She invented a device which can help in cleaning the sanitary pads and reduce biomedical waste.
Aman Bhandula (AIR 6930) studied at SD in Engineering Batch (2016). He studied Geological Technology at IIT Roorkee. Later, he decided to drop out and started his own venture Farmako with his friend Kaishu Sahu. Farmako Healthcare allows labs and clinics to use a centralized, digital system to share records with patients. His company recently got funding of 1.5 Crore. Aman has also been featured in Forbes 30 under 30 Asia List 2022.
Samkit Jain (AIR 28590) studied at SD in 2-year classroom program (2019-20) in Trailblazer Engineering Batch. He is currently pursuing his BTech from BITS Pilani. He participated in the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge and got the place in top talents. The top 3 spots were secured by the American and Dominican Republic teams. It’s the most desired award after the top 3 spots. The Project Review Award that Samkit got is the award for an innovative approach for designing and development.
Shakti Singh (AIR 7552) studied at SD in 2-year classroom program (2020-22) in Trailblazer Engineering Batch. He is currently pursuing his BTech in Mathematics and Computing at IIT Delhi. He got selected among the top 10 participating teams for an innovative competition “Solve for Tomorrow” organized by Samsung. Shakti Singh came up with the idea of AR headset to provide more accessibility to individuals with hearing loss. AR headset can convert real-time speech to text and sign language conversion.
Prakhar Kumar Singh (Category Rank 407) studied at SD in 2-year classroom program (2013-15). He completed his BTech from IIT Roorkee. Prakhar was also the topper of class 12th CBSE Board in Moradabad region. Prakhar secured the prestigious rank- AIR 29 in UPSC 2021 in his first attempt.
Shivasheesh Varshney studied at SD in 2-year classroom program (2016). He completed his BTech in Chemical Engineering from NIT Trichy and is now doing his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Minnesota, USA. He won third place and received a digital microscope at Minnesota Chapter AVS Symposium and Exhibition 2023 for his work on “developing free-standing membranes of functional perovskite oxides”. He also received the Dorothy M Hoffman Travel Grant to present his groundbreaking research at the AVS International Symposium, highlighting SrTiO₃ membranes with advanced dielectric properties.
