More than 80% of students of Scholars Den secure admission to top colleges nationwide every year. With a 25% success ratio and 60 selections out of 240 in JEE (Adv) ’24, Scholars Den boasts the highest national pass percentage in this exam.
You hardly find such a team of teachers in any other institution in the country. The faculty teaching here has a national identity in the coaching of IIT-NEET. Most of the places, only one or two subject experts get students in one batch, that too in the top batches. Here faculty team of same level is given in batches.
So far, 197 IITians as well as from the very first batch of NEET (2019), the institute has given selection to AIIMS Rishikesh. We have produced more IITians in the last two years than the number of students who went to IITs in and around Moradabad from 1951 to 2013. Many of our students have cleared various Olympiads like KVPY, NTSE Stage I & II, IOQM, RMO etc. with a good score.
We do not throw students into the blind race of ranks but connect them with a wonderful ecosystem of learning and hard work. We have a large number of students who stay in SD all day and do self-study here. Here children get many facilities like Study Room, Doubt Clearing Cell, Canteen, Rest Area, Lockers, Regular Yoga and Meditation, due to which they feel like this second home. The interest of children who do not study also increases manifold in studies and teaching becomes like a game for them – that’s why students call SD as preparation home not coaching.
Not every student can go to IIT or AIIMS but every student can definitely achieve 100 percent of his potential. We take care of the performance and individual requirements of every student here. Since every student is different, the policy of ‘one size fits all’ only creates unnecessary pressure on the children. Through orientation session, PTM, individual monitoring cell and direct communication is maintained with the children and their parents regarding the progress of the child. Due attention is also given to the individual problems of the students.
We don’t treat students as machines in ‘factory mode’ – in this type of education, the focus is only on the yen-ken-type selection of students. The emphasis here is on the natural and all-round development of the students. It is worth noting that metallurgical engineer Sundar Pichai, who may have got admission in IIT Kharagpur from the last rank in IIT, is today the CEO of Google – many Computer Science students who have topped the IIT exams work under his leadership. SD also organizes events like Alumni Meet, Teachers Day and Star Achievers’ Night in which students showcase their creativity and leadership skills.
The focus is on developing the analytical skills, thinking power and problem solving skills of the students in SD and not on scoring marks through tricks. This is the reason that the innovations of our students have got coverage in the media at the national level.
In the era of online education and commercialization, SD is probably the only institution where education is not entertainment and student-parent and not customer. Electronic equipment is strictly prohibited in SD Campus and only keypad phones are allowed. Our students follow a schedule of getting up at 5 in the morning and the discipline of their daily life is also closely monitored.
